Este seminario abarca el tema de la pérdida de productividad en proyectos de construcción y los factores que afectan la misma. También se establece como identificarlo, calcularlo y reclamarlo. En el seminario se discuten varios métodos reconocidos en la industria de la construcción para computar pérdida de productividad, tales como Measure Mile, Total Cost, Earned Value, MCAA factors, Curvas Leonard, Curvas Ibbs y otros.



Al finalizar este curso el participante podrá: 

·         Definir productividad usando varios términos

·         Entender los cambios que impactan la productividad

·         Usar distintos métodos para calcular la pérdida de productividad

·         Identificar aspectos legales importantes relacionados al pérdida de productividad en un proyecto de construcción



William Rosado Ramos, P. E., PMP

Graduated in  May 1997 with a Civil Engineering degree (UPR - Mayagüez, PR). After completion of his civil engineering studies, he began to work for Redondo Perini JV as Assistant Project Manager in the Tren Urbano, one of the major construction projects in the history of Puerto Rico. He was in charge of the project scheduling, cost control, procurement coordination and change orders management, among other duties for the joint venture contract. On August 2001, Eng. Rosado was promoted to manage the Project Control Department of Redondo Construction, one of the partners of the Redondo Perini JV. In this position, Eng. Rosado was responsible for the project planning, execution, monitoring and CPM schedule analysis of all the company projects. On March 2002, Eng. Rosado decided to join MD Engineering Group and at the same time commence to render Project Management Consulting services. He commenced to work for this prestigious local firm as Resident Engineer in charge of the quality assurance and Owner’s project management of a Public Housing project. Due to its leadership and capability, Eng. Rosado was promoted on March 2004 as Project Director. In this position, he was in charge to manage various projects of different agencies such as Puerto Rico Housing Administration, PRASA and University of Puerto Rico. After an excellent performance, MD Engineering Group promoted Eng. Rosado again on January 2006 as Client Coordinator. In this position, he was in charge to manage all company projects corresponding to the Puerto Rico Housing Administration. Notwithstanding, Eng. Rosado decided to resign on February 2006 and founded Project Management & Engineering, PSC, a company oriented to provide Project Management and Engineering services. Since its foundation, Eng. Rosado and Project Management & Engineering, PSC, have more than $750M in projects providing Consulting Services for the main construction companies of Puerto Rico and Panamá. In addition, Project Management & Engineering, PSC has more than $50M in private and public projects as Construction Management and Contracted Inspection along the 13 years of existence. In September 2016, Eng. Rosado joined K2 Construction Consultants, a company located in Bethesda, Maryland. As a Senior Consultant of K2 Construction Consultants, Eng. Rosado has managed more than $200M in projects countrywide as a forensic claim expert. Eng. Rosado has worked with construction claims such as delays, acceleration, extended general conditions and loss of productivity impacts with a combined claim value of $36M.  Eng. Rosado has been a Licensed Professional Engineer in Puerto Rico since 2000 and Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida since 2016. Eng. Rosado has various remarkable certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) and OSHA’s 30 hours training certification.
